First Pierce Brosnan at his peak doing was he does best I mean If MCqueen was the King of Cool Brosnan is the King of Suave! Then you have the chemistry with Rene Russo! Muy Caliente model turned actress. She was sexy and smart but above all her acting felt so natural!
- Matthew RotherhamJune 13, 2026The writing in this movie is just terrible. Russo's character seems to think flirting is laughing maniacally at anything the guy says. She is a jet-setting art insurance expert, but behaves like a 19yo tourist upon visitting his vila. The lead detective should have taken her off the case and arrested her for interfearing with an active investigation (not to mention B&E, theft) There are also so many damned montages! Also, I don't think your shrink would openly laugh at you for 20-30 seconds. It's just sloppy writing. The actors do their best with what they are given.

Loads of intrigue, wit and romance and none of the tired old Ryan Reynolds’s mile a minute one liner mouth nor never ending gunfu of most every other film these days. Definitely a nostalgic watch over and over film. Play ball.

The films premise and the trailer tricks you into thinking it’s going to be a action, crime, thriller but ends up being a cheesy romance film. The cast is pretty unknown with no memorable performances in this movie. There’s barely any heist scenes in the film. The romance is very cheesy and does not work at all. The film relies on a dumb romance and nudity other than giving people great action sequences. Overall it’s a bad movie that had some potential but ended up being a piece of nothing that I would not recommend.
