One imagines Tarantino furiously cribbing notes from this for his next outing, although it must be said TTDONWYD lacks his rapier wit and talent with dialog. Still, a sadly unappreciated gem of a movie.
- angeltreadJune 15, 2026If you visit any review for this undoubtedly it’s gonna mention it’s a Tarantino rip-off. Which I dont feel it is…. It’s def Tarentino-esce but far from a rip-off. Garcia is our main character who gets the most to do but unfortunately is prob the least interesting character in this. Everyone else is playing interesting, wild, if not a little one note characters. Steve Buscemi is great. Treat Williams is great. Christopher Loyd is great. Fairuza Balk is really great. I mean pretty much everyone is, including Garcia, its just Garcia is the least interesting to me is all. Anyway, a kooky tale that is fun and stands on its own feet regardless of its Tarantino-esce vibes.
