As a boy, Carl Fredricksen wanted to explore South America and find the forbidden Paradise Falls. About 64 years later he gets to begin his journey along with Boy Scout Russell by lifting his house with thousands of balloons. On their journey, they make many new friends including a talking dog, and figure out that someone has evil plans. Carl soon realizes that this evildoer is his childhood idol.

The opening vignette is 5 stars easy. From there, there's some great and some good and some just okay. I just feel strongly that the movie does WAY too much. From flying houses to exotic animals to talking dogs that can do everything, it all distracts too much from what is an otherwise strong emotional core.

Up showcases Pixar’s brilliance once more with a heartwarming and emotional journey that takes viewers on a thrilling ride. The opening sequence alone is a breathtaking experience that justifies every penny of the ticket price.

Up remains one of my all-time favorite animated films. It is a true emotional rollercoaster that has stayed with me long after the credits rolled. A beautiful story that I’ll treasure forever. Up is easily in my top five. 5/5 for me

Aside from the overly emotional music and the quiet scenes, the movie was really good. I can't really criticize those moments either since they fit the emotional nature of the film. Other than that, the movie was amazing. It was one of the best films I've watched.

This film is possibly one of the best animated films of all time as it tells an emotional moving story while being funny. As I said the emotion in this film is full of heart and even though I didn't cry it will make most people cry.
