Where to Watch Vacation
- Manuel FrangisJuly 18, 2026I just watched Vacation, and I would give it a solid 5 out of 5 stars. This movie was absolutely hilarious from beginning to end and is one of my favorite comedy movies from the 2010s. It takes the classic Vacation series and gives it a fresh, modern twist while still keeping the same fun and chaotic spirit that made the originals so memorable. I was laughing throughout the entire movie, and it never felt like the comedy slowed down. The movie follows Rusty Griswold, played by Ed Helms, who decides to recreate the unforgettable family road trip from his childhood by taking his wife and two sons to Walley World. Of course, just like the original movies, almost everything that can go wrong does go wrong. Their trip turns into one disaster after another, creating nonstop laughs and unforgettable moments along the way. Ed Helms is fantastic as Rusty, bringing the perfect mix of optimism, awkwardness, and determination to the role. Christina Applegate is equally great as Debbie, and the chemistry between them makes the family feel believable. The two boys also do a great job, and their constant arguments and sibling rivalry add even more comedy to the story. The supporting cast is excellent as well, with memorable appearances from Chris Hemsworth, Leslie Mann, Charlie Day, and Chevy Chase, who helps connect the movie to the original series. One of the biggest strengths of Vacation is its comedy. The movie is full of outrageous situations, unexpected surprises, and laugh out loud moments that keep coming one after another. It fully embraces its R-rated humor and is not afraid to push the jokes even further, which makes many of the funniest scenes completely unforgettable. Even when the situations become ridiculous, they fit perfectly with the style of the movie. The pacing is excellent because there is always something happening. Every stop on the road trip introduces a new problem, a new character, or another hilarious situation that keeps the story moving. I never found myself bored because the movie constantly finds new ways to surprise you. Even with all of the outrageous humor, the movie still has heart. At its core, it is about a father trying to bring his family closer together and create memories that will last forever. That emotional side gives the movie more depth and makes the ending feel satisfying without taking away from the comedy. Overall, Vacation is an incredibly fun comedy that delivers exactly what it promises. It has a great cast, nonstop laughs, memorable characters, and plenty of over the top moments that make it easy to watch again and again. It is one of those movies I can always put on when I want to laugh and have a good time. I absolutely loved it, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys road trip comedies or the original Vacation movies. For me, it easily earns 5 out of 5 stars.
- jackmeatApril 18, 2025My quick rating - 6.3/10. Definitely a worthy addition to the "Vacation" films. Goofball humor along with a bit more of the raunchy to go with it. I found it to be a good idea to use the kids grown up so the door remains open for further flicks. In this way, it really isn't a remake just more a continuation. Don't expect highbrow comedy, and you will enjoy this one.
