Review: "Vampires Suck" fails to offer a truly creative approach to the genre of parodies of films that have marked pop culture. Although it has the potential to explore and satirize the "Twilight" saga, the film gets lost in a tangle of scatological jokes and references that quickly become dated. Many of these jokes don't age well and distract from what could have been a more elaborate critique. The film's structure seems to be a simple reproduction of iconic scenes from "Twilight," without bringing a new perspective or intelligent humor, resulting in a tiresome experience. Attempts at humor become a collage of sketches that, instead of entertaining, end up disinteresting the audience. However, Jenn Proske's performance deserves special mention, as she convincingly captures the mannerisms of the character played by Kristen Stewart. Overall, "Vampires Suck" could benefit from a bolder and more original script that, instead of sticking to clichés, explored new forms of satire. Instead of seeming like a mere copy of what has already been done, a more innovative approach could result in a more fun and memorable comedy.
