Where to Watch Walk Like a Man
- Jacob O’NealApril 7, 2026Oh, the charm of 80’s movies. Howie Mandel plays Bobo, a ma lost as a child and raised by wolves, when he’s found by Amy Steel (Friday The 13th) and returned to his rich family - Christopher Lloyd as his brother, Cloris Leachman as his mother and Colleen Camp (Clue, Die Hard With A Vengeance) as his sister-in-law. This was one of those movies designed around a comedian to act crazy, like Rob Schneider in The Animal years later. This movie was poorly written, the bother and sister-in-law were poorly written and only work based on the skill and charm of Lloyd and Camp. Leachman was funny as the cat loving crazy mother. Mandel was funny, but I was never a fan of his stand up or acting attempts. He’s fine here and sometimes funny. The real savior of the film is the person who barely ever had a career in Hollywood - Amy Steel. If it wasn’t for her grounding this film in some way that made the film palatable it would have been a sloppy disaster. As it is, not even the cast ever speaks of the film. But it has its moments. Still worth a watch if you find it.
