You don’t watch it for coherence; the whole thing is chaotic. What carries it is the cast: Paul Rudd, Bradley Cooper, Amy Poehler, Elizabeth Banks, and a handful of other future stars all committing completely to the stupidity. The actual kids at the camp feel oddly out of place, and sometimes end up the butt of gags that don’t land, giving certain moments a tone that doesn’t feel appropriate.
