- Drake707September 27, 2025I love the Alien movies (apart from the recent one) and this show just fails to impress. There are odd things like why did the Indian boy need help? He should be extremely strong, yet he couldn't carry a human body and even has to drag the body at one point as if he isn't strong enough to just hold the body with one arm and walk with it. I really wish I liked this show but it's just not coming through. It has too many plot points that don't come together, and seems like if they were going to come together there's going to need to be a lot of seasons. and honestly this show comes off a bit cheesy and messy. There are so many illogical instances it's frustrating. They should have made the plots more simple because at this rate there wont be many seasons of this show. A lot rides on season 2, but personally I'm not optimistic. I get how people could like this show, but I guess I'm not so easily entertained.
- Cooney1021June 14, 2026I wish Disney would stay away from destroying incredible franchises because they lack any originality of their own. When I heard there would be an Alien television series I was really optimistic, even after seeing that Jurassic turd Romulus. Alien, and its subsequent sequels were headed by strong, independent, and in parts, a vulnerable woman. Even the Alien vs. Predator films had female characters of strength and intelligence. This series is much like a lot of the post Covid Disney “dribble down your leg “ messes we’ve been smelling for years. Loose story telling with pungent character development in which women continue to be the heroine but unlike the Alien story telling of old, the men come off as deliberately weak, feeble and horribly unredeeming. Even Timothy Olyphant was underutilized in the project. With his abilities he could have brought so much more legitimacy to this project but instead he was relegated to an emotionless “synthetic” role. His character might as well have been a droid from the other franchise Disney “Death Starred”. Past Aliens never had Ripley surrounded by “weak men” in order to make her look heroic, she earned the audiences respect through her trials to become the hero. This installment, like Romulus, didn’t require any character growth to have us root for the leading ladies. I hope the second season of Alien Earth can have both men and woman on equal footing trying to save humanity. Not make half look worse so the other can appear greater.
