- John ChapelAugust 12, 2026This show, like any show Gervais makes, is wickedly funny, and seemingly retro-scripted. However, also like any show Gervais makes, it's also incredibly grim. Ricky has a real knack for getting inside the audiences head and making us really examine mortality and the human condition, and leaves us feeling uncomfortable about it. I really miss my dogs right now and the two episodes just really have me tearing up.
