It's better than the newer Netflix adaptation in my humble opinion despite its short OVA format. Genuinely good dark fantasy anime from the early 90s that helped alongside so many other iconic franchises elevate the medium to greater heights. If you want your heavy metal fantasy itch scratched, this is a great start. Give the manga a look over if you want in on the complete story of Bastard!!
