Saw this one on TV as a kid, probably Dutch or German broadcast, maybe subtitled, maybe dubbed. Didn’t understand half of it, but Robin Williams made it impossible to look away. Mork was an alien in rainbow suspenders, sent to Earth in an egg and everything he did felt like a cartoon trapped in a sitcom. The show was loud, weird and full of physical comedy. “Nanu Nanu” became playground language. Mindy was the straight face to Mork’s chaos and Boulder, Colorado looked like a place where aliens could just chill. As a kid, it was pure fun. As an adult revisiting it, you see the improv, the satire and the sadness behind the eyes. But back then? It was just a guy drinking with his finger and sitting on his head.
