In order for The Order to formally parlay with their nearest rivals (the Esoteric Sons of Prometheus), Vera turns over Alyssa and Jack as hostages. Secretly, she orders Jack to determine if the Prometheans are behind the theft of their missing artifacts. Meanwhile, Gabrielle blackmails Hamish and Randall into doing some of her bidding, during which Hamish (magically disguised as Jack) is approached by another secret society on campus.
