Simply the greatest WW2 documentary ever put to film, and indeed, in contention for being one of the greatest of all time, period. Unmissable, unskippable, unforgettable. If everyone on Earth saw this, our world would change overnight.

The definitive World War II documentary, this is it. Covers all aspects of the war from all sides. Some of the ideas are a bit dated, but that too is a bit of history. You get to see how they viewed the war only 30 years after its ending. The main benefit of watching one as old as this is you get first-hand accounts and hear from those that experienced it. Laurence Olivier adds his commanding voice with its rich resonance. This is not a mere film, it is an experience.
