Since this was released, it remains the absolute BEST version of the story to this day. I still love the early versions for the memories they evoke, but this completely nails everything just right. The pathos, the resilience of the people, the near-total hopelessness of some others. And THEN the ecstatic joy of Scrooge when he realizes he has another chance. Daniel Defoe was right- redemption from sin is greater than redemption from affliction. Please enjoy!
