- A Ghost Story
Went into it blind and it was the perfect combo of Skinamarink pacing with A Dog's Purpose storyline. Sad, a bit unintentionally funny at still moments, and sorrowful. Beautifully tragic & slow paced, some shots to me are paced out too long but some needed it to be for that feeling. The neighbour ghost finally letting go & the Pie Scene really got me out of those moments of stillness. I also luv'd the aspect ratio, the closedness of this was very fitting and felt visually suffocated by the grief. They portrayed the mourning & guilt so perfectly even without words, Im not gonna lie I did almost cry. I dock points for that musty mansplaining hippie at the party with big pit stains and the music throwing me out of the story a bit...because I can! Also I WANTED TO SEE THE NOTES BRO! In close, I think this film is very beautifully shot and written, the shots were very well planned and meaningful to the story.A Ghost Story
