My heart weeps. The show was completely gutted after the 6th season at best. A total insult to the lore and the whole narrative. I really feel bad for the actors who put their heart and soul into this project. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely loved the show in the beginning, hence the absolute disappointment.
I loved that the movie shed light on a part of history that isn't really mainstream (at least not mainstream from my perspective). I wish there were more movies like that.

For a series that's so rooted in legacy and family, the lack of clarity around how we get from 1923 to John Dutton III (Kevin Costner) in Yellowstone felt like a missed opportunity.
