Where to Watch Amityville 3-D
- First off, I totally get why they wanted to do this 3rd entry in 3D; because of the whole 3D craze during that time with Friday The 13th 3D & Jaws 3D being the best examples of that. However outside of the 3D side of things, this 3rd installment isn't a good Amitiville film. There's is a notable shift tonaly from the first two films. Also there's a very notable dip in quality, in comparison to the films that came before it. I have to say Amitiville 3D is my least favourite in the series. The overall plot of the film is very weak. There's continuity issues here as well such; as that it largely ignores the lore established from 1 & 2 making it feel more like a standalone movie rather than a sequel. And finally the whole atmosphere & intensity is mostly gone as the first two films leaned into psychological horror and disturbing themes. Amitiville 3D just looks and feels more like a watered down TV Movie.
