- PhysicalMedia4LifeJune 4, 2026I have a massive soft spot and a special place carved out in my heart for "Halloween 6 The Curse Of Michael Myers" and one of my main reasons why; is because of the difficult circumstances around it, such as the damage & shit bomb 💣 that was "Halloween 5 The Revenge Of Michael Myers" made. So this final chapter in the thorn trilogy was always going to face an uphill battle, even if they made it to the best of its ability. And as a whole considering the circumstances they did a very good job, even though there are a lot of flaws here; but that's not the fault of this entry its the one that became before it. This film had to pick up the pieces and in a lot of ways it does. And the [Producers Cut] is better than the [Theatrical Cut] as the Producers Cut adds & gives more context and everything feels more fleshed out; but the problem however is that it doesn't change the outcome or story in anyway that's the downside. The Curse Of Michael Myers has so much going for it such as the atmosphere, the mask is much much better than the masks in H4 & H5 and the potrayal of "The Shape by George P Wilbur is a big improvement than his performance as "Michael Myers" in H4. Visually the film is great to look at and the cinematography is also a big plus. The kills are very solid as well. However there's things in here that I don't like and one of those things being "Paul Rudd" as Tommy Doyle that didn't work for me at all. And the fact the director decided to have Michael as the father of Jamie's baby was downright sickening, bizarre & very very weird!! Apart from those 2 major issues and the story still not quite coming together & plot wise also. This somehow imo is still a really good Halloween movie. And I think most of us can agree that the [Producers Cut] especially is a masterpiece in comparison to H5!! And finally My Ratings/Scores for "Halloween 6 The Curse Of Michael Myers" is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ & a 8/10
- LivewireAdminOctober 22, 2025Somewhere between the druid cults, psychic runes, and endless exposition dumps, Halloween lost whatever sense of mystery it had left. The "Producer’s Cut" tries to tie six films together with lore that feels like it escaped from a bad paperback novel, and the result is equal parts confusing and lifeless. Even Paul Rudd looks like he’s regretting every line as he awkwardly battles a mythos no one asked for. There’s a decent atmosphere buried under the nonsense, but the movie is so tangled in its own mythology that even Michael seems tired of it. I can see why they decided to bring Jamie Lee Curtis back in the next one and basically ignore everything after II. Letterboxd: FilmPhanPA
- FranBizOctober 21, 2025Depending on which version you watch, your experience will differ. The theatrical cut will give a Halloween movie with slasher kills. The edits can be rushed, especially those throbbing flashing effects. Geez. The score will have a heavy metal composition, and the ending will leave you with a cliffhanger with Dr Loomis' outcome. If you're watching the Producer's cut... well, I'll be honest, I'm slightly biased a bit with this version. It's just a little bit, though. There are no throbbing flashing effects (Thank goodness). The music will have a re arranged version of the original Halloween score, which is more fitting for this movie. The characters have more time to breath, however it's not perfect due to the script. I do enjoy the story the old babysitter tells about the origins of Halloween. I also appreciate the recap from Halloween 5 in the producer's cut. This movie isn't perfect, but I'll watch it around the spooky season; specifically, the producers cut. Check it out.

Between the messy plot, confusing cult storyline, and wasted characters, it’s more frustrating than frightening. Michael Myers is still creepy, but everything around him is so muddled it drains the tension. A few eerie moments can’t save it from being one of the weakest entries in the series.
