- jackmeatOctober 23, 2024My quick rating - 5,8/10. I am always good for a "Revenge" type flick, one where the woman is raped, and in this case, left for dead in the middle of nowhere. But the group of guys who thought they were going hunting, end up being hunted when instead of dying, she comes after them. This is sort of a spoiler but this movie really doesn't explain if it is supposed to be supernatural or not. If you watch, you will get what I mean. Anyway, Jen (Matilda Anna Ingrid Lutz) does a good job in acting this one out and being pretty believable. She doesn't just turn into a superwoman gun-toting chick, she just takes out her vengeance and learns as she goes. There are some parts of this movie that are incredibly ridiculous (the supernatural question could help explain) but putting that aside, the movie delivers quite well. Oh, and if you are looking for blood, there are loads of it to be had. Under IMDB trivia, one of the creators of the effects stated they often ran out of fake blood during the shoot. After watching, you will see why. I classified this as Action but there are some Horror elements to it.

And what I really love about "Revenge" is the whole transitioning period of our protagonist of the film Jen played by "Matilda Lutz" we see her all happy, vulnerable & innocent in the beginning to this stoic & fearless badass that's not taking any prisoners after what she goes through. I thought the whole development & arc of our main character was very very well done, I totally bought every single second of it. The whole colour schemes, stunning visuals & really cool 😎 looking cinematography really make this film standout also. I also really loved the the practical effects on the gore and not this Cgi bullshit; it did really make the film that much more impactful & effective, which is what you need in a film like this. And that whole fight sequence between her and the main antoganist; who you want to see have his comeuppance was beyond gripping, tense and highly highly watchable my eyes 👀 were literally locked 🔒 to the screen as that final fight was going down. Overall "Revenge" is a very picturesque looking and a very competently made thriller; that's 💯 watchable & entertaining all the way through, there's never ever a dull moment at all. And finally My Ratings/Scores for "Revenge" are ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ & a 10/10 its awesome!!!
- sopulaJanuary 17, 2026Jeez, im not normally one to complain about this kind of stuff but the ways the protagonist survives the events of this movie are very unbelievable Otherwise very generic revenge movie which tye title kind of implies. I did enjoy complaining while watching it though and also enjoyed comparing it to “i spit on your grave”
