X-Men 97 is a love letter to the fans of the old 90s animated series. The animation is better this time around with more adult oriented story telling. Seeing Cyclops FINALLY portrayed as an absolute badass leader was extremely satisfying. Also bringing back some of the original voice actors really gets you in the feels and doesn’t let go. The show is a heavy character driven comic book soap opera that gives fans the X-Men we have been demanding for decades. The Genosha massacre episode might be some of the best acted and directed Marvel Studios action set piece we have seen since Avengers Endgame.

This is lowkey one of the best tv shows I’ve ever seen. More of what was great about the old show, and none of what wasn’t. Deep, darker, more emotional and mature. GIVE ME SEASON 2 NOW 10/10 Also. Intro Music. SLAPS

The most consistently good Marvel property on TV it's just as good as it was in the 90s when it was a Saturday morning cartoon.

I hadn't taken the time to watch this mainly due to my aversion to the mishandling of Marvel and Star Wars at the hands of Disney and I much expected this to be given the same poor treatment by Disney. Happily to my chagrin, I was wrong. I was already in my mid teens when the original aired and yet I tuned in every week to watch it. So this was a show that was very near and dear to my heart. This right here lives up to that legacy and memory and then some. Animation is so well done and is nearly identical in every way to the original series. The voice acting is spot on. It almost feels like I'm just watching new seasons of the show I knew and loved and that's saying a lot. Honestly, if Disney/Marvel coudl show this same kind of love and treatment of the source content the MCU could return to being the Juggernaut it once was. Same goes for Star Wars, but I think the right people are piloting that ship now.

These are THE x-men. This show is one of the best marvel projects they’ve ever put out. From start to finish, you can clearly tell that this was made with care & love. The animation is peak, all of the characters get moments to shine, and the story is genuinely incredible. Cyclops is the MVP of this series, and I cannot wait for season 2.

I must say, it’s definitely worth watching. A lot of things remain the same, yet they’ve changed—though not in a way that would make me or any longtime fans of the series complain. It brings back a lot of memories, connects many dots, and it’s clear they paid close attention to the original series while staying true to comic book accuracy. If you pay attention, you’ll notice a lot of subtle connections throughout the show—some of which will even make you laugh. I’d highly recommend watching the original series first, then diving into this new one. Trust me, that makes the experience even better. It’s amazing how many years have passed, and yet they still managed to do such a great job. Plus, a lot of the original voice actors returned. Honestly, it’s really worth watching.❤️💯

This series is amazing. All of it. I'm on my seat waiting for the next eps every week and then the next season once done. This proves that Marvel can still be great they just lack the focus this series has.
  • A perfect continuation of the original series. Incredible animation, fantastic writing, unforgettable characters, and some of the best superhero storytelling I've seen in years. X-Men '97 is a masterpiece. Loved every minute of it! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

  • Who doesnt like the X-Men at this point

  • Val Cooper

I might have missed it somewhere explained in some dialogue but how does Val Cooper have an important government position instead of being jailed in The Raft for her direct involvement in 1. helping Bastion/Genosha as well as 2. Freeing Magneto who almost destroyed Earth? Why would the X-Men allow this? Why would any US government or Avenger allow this? That part has been mind blowing to me all season.
